Sepideh Raissadat begins in the fall finally their tour in Germany – a premiere in Cologne, headed by Hamid Motebassem.
[singlepic id=506 w=320 h=240 float=left]Sepideh Raissadat considered a new discovery in the classical Iranian music scene. Its characteristic: a velvety, soft voice. Raissadat released her first album in 18 years with Tehran. She was the first and only artist who was allowed to perform solo as a woman – in 1979 a one-time exception. Even as a child, she learned singing and music from the great masters of the subject: Parissa, Parviz Meshkatian and Mohammad Reza Lotfi. In Bologna, she continued her studies – and was invited by UNESCO, the Vatican, RAI and BBC. Currently, she continues her ethnomusicological research on pre-Islamic Persian music at the University of Toronto.

He has founded several music ensembles, and symphony works, such as „Simorgh“, opened based on the national epic „Shahnameh“ („Book of Kings“ of Firdausi), the Persian classical music of polyphonic composition. Ensemble Mezrab Founded in 2005 by Hamid Motebassem. It consists of Arman Sigarchi (Barbat), Pejman Zahedian (Setar), Ramin Azimian (Bam-Tar) and Naghmeh Farahmand (percussion). The ensemble has performed in many international cultural centers and at prestigious festivals such as Muziekpublique (Belgium), Amsterdam Cultuurcenter Griffioen, smooth and inverted Krems (Austria), The bell Bremen, International Guitar Festival of Fribourg (Switzerland), Gaude Mater Festival (Poland), Spain Festival.

„ZamZame-ha“ – in English „Susurration“ – is the title of the new project, which consists of
Collaboration of experienced composers Hamid Motabassem and the young and
experimental singer Sepideh Raissadat arose. It will be performed in October 2012 with a quintet of plucked and percussion instruments in Canada and Europe.
